It would appear we all got slightly too relaxed in the long 6 week gap... apologies from the Committee to all members for lack of updates... normal service has been resumed
Rd9 - Llandow - SATURDAY 25th and SUNDAY 26th AUGUSTIt#039;s here - the last round of the season... For some their class#039; champions have already been decided, but for others it#039;s still damn tight at the top.The Funbike class is a close scrap between Stephan Castille and Michael Corduroy with just 58 points between them... The Pitbike classes are even closer The F1 sidecars have a grand 87 points between 1st and 5th place holders, so the top 3 could be any of them... Just 15 points (or should that be pints) separates class leader Mick Williams from 2nd place runner Gordon Martlew, with Mike Mantell amp; Tamzine Hanks snapping at their heels from a tied 3rd place.It#039;s all to play for in the little leagues between Harry Coomber and Josh Daley in the Jnr Proddy B class, whilst the Snr Proddy A boys are nudging shoulders at the front of the runnings... Luke Shelley is clinging to the lead by the skin of his teeth with just 2 points over Gareth Williams. With equally close battles in many of the remaining classes, Round 9 at Llandow looks certain to be an entertaining end to the season.
There MAY be a practice day on the Friday. Check the Forums for any update confirmation of this.
Saturday kicks off as per normal with Rider#039;s Briefing around 9am... 1x 10min Practice, 2x 15min Qualifiers (unless you#039;re a sidecar, in which case it#039;s 2x 10min practices, 2x 10min qualifiers). This will become a statutory requirement at all circuits in the `09 season, so may as well jump on the case now...There is a practice day being held on the Friday of the event - for more info see the forums. One other point to note - a reminder that all 4 stroke vehicles must have sump-plugs lockwired, and all breather pipes must feed into a catch bottle.Saturday kicks off as per normal with Rider#039;s Briefing around 9am... 1x 10min Practice, 2x 15min Qualifiers (unless you#039;re a sidecar, in which case it#039;s 2x 10min practices, 2x 10min qualifiers).

SATURDAY 2nd and SUNDAY 3rd AUGUST
At 1,240 metres the circuit is one of the biggest and fastest in Europe. Its flowing curves and challenging chicanes make it one of the finest racing experiences to be had. Its length and width make it more competitive due to more overtaking opportunities and choice of racing line.
Its Safety Features are second to none and comply fully to RASMSA standards.
The newly extended catering facility at trackside is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat or discuss that missed overtaking opportunity over a cup of coffee. The friendly team is always on hand to take your order and there is a great range of food and snacks to choose from as well as fully stocked vending machines.
The cafeacute; is also a great place to watch the action from and escape from the elements on those wet days that the British summer is known for
Apparently there is a practice on the Friday of the event however this is not operated by the MMRA. Check the website or contact Herons Park for info.
Saturday kicks off as per normal with Rider#039;s Briefing around 9am... 1x 10min Practice, 2x 15min Qualifiers (unless you#039;re a sidecar, in which case it#039;s 2x 10min practices, 2x 10min qualifiers). Raceday consists of the usual morning warmup (5mins) followed by 4 races (other than the Pitbike class which has the usual 3x longer races).
The bar WILL be open Saturday night and there#039;s a football game planned in the field for later...

Due to incidents at the previous round, we feel the need to stress the conditions which apply to all MMRA Events slightly larger than previously.... We are working with other clubs to establish a procedure for serious offences that can result in a NATIONAL ban. BE WARNED
CONDITIONS:-

The Rulebook has been amended with the info you#039;ll need, and the entry forms have been updated also.Sadly, there is no practice on the Friday of the event as Whilton Mill has corporate karts running all day.
